Groucho Marx of the Marx Brothers hosted an American quiz show on both radio and television from 1947 until 1961. The game was secondary to the hilarious interplay between Groucho, the contestants, and announcer George Fenneman. The program was re-run into the 1970s, and was the first game show to have its re-runs syndicated.
